  I attended the Players School of Music from 2005 thru 2007. It was one of the best decisions I've made in my musical career! The School provided my first in depth study of jazz. I got intimately familiar with The Real Book and jazz standards! The School's approach is very well rounded, we studied Ear Training, Harmony, Chart Reading, Arrangement, Listening, and daily Ensemble playing. The teachers and staff are all amazing players, teachers, and friends. The student to teacher ratio is amazingly low, so you get true one on one connection with these great professors!! Also, there are regular master classes. I've had the privilege to study with Larry Coryell, Victor Wooten, Gumbi Ortiz, Jeff Berlin, and others.
  
  Since graduating from the full two year program, I have been supporting myself completely through music. I play in a Funk/Soul/Rock band, fill in with numerous Top 40 bands, I play solo jazz guitar gigs, I host a weekly Open Jam, and I teach private lessons.
  
  The Players School also introduced me to an incredible community of amazing musicians. Peter Mongaya, the Head of the Guitar Department at the Players School, has been an absolute inspiration and mentor! Peter is also the founder of Musicology, where I have been teaching private lessons for the past 8 years.
  
  All in all, the Players School has led me to become a very well-rounded musician. I have a grounded respect for all musical styles, and have learned so much about how I learn, and how to approach practicing! The musical journey is a lifelong pursuit, and I am very grateful to be on the path!!
